6 Ways We Show Up in ChatGPT
A practical checklist for getting your landscaping business recommended by ChatGPT and other AI search tools, not just Google.
If you want your business to show up in ChatGPT (or other AI tools), ask yourself these 3 questions first:
- Do we have a real address listed online?
- Is it clear we do real work?
- Do other websites think we do good work?
Don't B.S. yourself. But if you get three "yeses," you're in a good spot.
Here are six specific ways to strengthen all three criteria, and show up in ChatGPT:
1. Complete your Google Business Profile fully
Name, address, phone, website, categories, services, hours, photos. All of it, filled out and accurate.

2. Get reviews consistently
Not just volume, cadence. And natural language in them: service, location, experience, in the reviewer's own words.
3. Post one real, physical address (not a PO Box) online everywhere
If you move, update every old listing. Consistency is what tells an AI you're a real business.
4. Earn third-party mentions
Chamber of Commerce, local newspapers, Reddit threads for your town, local business associations, "best landscaper" lists and articles.
5. Keep your social profiles active
Facebook, Instagram, posting consistently. It's a signal you're a real, active company that will actually respond. It probably doesn't bring you customers directly, but it's part of the game.
6. Build out town pages
Dedicated [Service] in [Town] pages, one town and one service per page.
Do all six, and you stop being invisible to the tools your future customers are starting to ask instead of Google.
